Should I keep Forte's clutch quadrant and FWA, or go MM/Steeda?

I put a Forte's clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster in my 87 ten years ago... I just had a T-5z and King Cobra clutch installed with a OEM-style clutch cable. The clutch is quite heavy, and seems to grab just about on the floor. The tech (also a Mustang guy) said the quad/FWA I have should be replaced with the Steeda set "since there isn't any more adjustment left" in the Forte's set.

Cliff's Notes: Does anyone still use a Forte's quadrant and adjuster, or are the MM or Steeda ones really that much better?

At this point, I'm just unsure of what my real problem(s) is and what to replace/tackle first. The car sat for five years essentially outside; the motor mounts are shot, making the header contact the steering shaft. That, combined with (per the technician) the poor clutch adjustment, makes the whole car shake/shutter a little if I don't give it enough gas starting off from a stop (I used to be able to crawl away w/no gas basically), and a LOT when trying to move in reverse. However, since the tranny, clutch kit, and cable were all replaced at the same time (w/o me driving the car in five years), I'm not sure if it's really a clutch cable/adjustment issue, a clutch issue itself, problem with the tranny, or just the header contacting the steering shaft due to the motor mounts. (Thoughts?)

If the FWA is run all the way out and the cable isn't stretched, there is not much one can do. You could use the entire MM kit (cable, FWA and quadrant) to rule out it being an issue with any of those parts.

To 87MGT: I'm about to install the same as you had done sans Forte. Am curious, did you:
1) Resurface your flywheel or install a new flywheel?
2) Has the Max Moto clutch cable kit helped?
Thanks.
