I have a boss 302 block with Cleveland 351 heads for my 65 fastback. I like blowers with the air intake popping out of the hood. Do they make one that will fit my engine and is it a good idea performance and reliability wise?

That should be an awesome set up if you can find a blower intake for a 289/302 with 2v Clevaland heads. If you can find one for a Boss 302, which came with the 4v heads, you might be able to do a little port work to the heads to match the intake. the 2.05" valves will still give you good streetability.

It seems like it would be easier to buy a set of quality SBF heads and then put on the blower. It looses some of the cool factor but you would get the blower you without reinventing the wheel.

Another option is I have seen a place that sells adapters for different engine heads combos so that intakes will fit. They basically go between the head and intake manifold like a spacer. IIRC they had one that was for a SBF/Cleveland head combo. I just can't remember the name of the company. Sorry.

Found the site.

We just got done doing my cousins motor with the cleveland heads and custom FPA headers. Had to notch the towers to get things to fit. Even then its F'n tight.

BDS will make a blower for anything, its just your going to be running a 6-71. I really don't think your going to find a cleveland blower intake for one of those little blowers unless you fab your own deal up.

Mine from years back.
