My plan is to replace my current wheels with some 17x8 / 245 45 17(front) 17x9 / 275 40 17 (rear) black Cragar (or similar) steel wheels but I cant seem to find any pictures of the same setup. Anyone do this? Have any pics or know anyone that has done it?

That will definitely cheapen your car. I really like what you have now. What about chrome instead? Another option would be something more like the Bullitt wheels since you want 17s. That would go with your paint color nicely.

A while back someone put those on his 67 and it looked not so hot. He ended up going with something like Coys I think. I know he got them from summit. The look like chrome torque thrust kind of.

I think that black wheels in general look cheap. The only way the look good at all is if the rim part is aluminum or chrome etc.

Yah I know what you mean by looking cheap but I want a road race look and I think if its done right it will look ok. I dont plan on getting rid of my wheels, possibly going to look into places that paint or coat wheels and have the spokes done black... although i looked into that a few years back and they wanted like 250 a wheel :/

So.. Im hoping someone has a pic of what im thinking before i do it..

I appreciate ur opinion!

I found this pic and I think the car looks pretty wicked. They r Aero 15's thou

Over here they charge about $140-160 to powder coat all 4 wheels, less if its the spokes.I would do the body color on the spokes.

I painted mine white because I got tired of polishing them.

Wow, thats really inexpensive! I may have to shop around and see what kind of deal I can find. Do you have a picture of urs?

I hate polishing aluminum wheels too. Thats why I put the stock wheels back on my F150.

I like the white spokes on your car Iskwezm.

I really think having it done body color is a great idea.

I don't care for that road race look, unless the car is used for that purpose.
