what i did was coilovers inthe front with tubular arms. I use a 12" long spring but a very light spring rate as it is a drag set up. If yours is a full weight street car maybe go with a 200 lb spring. if it will see track time too, maybe some 150 lbers. for the rear, I have cut factory rear springs. its a pain in the butt to do with a hack saw but I hear using a torch is a bad way to do it. I also have lower control arms with adjustable spring perches to change ride height even more & adjust the instant center position. I have adjustable upper control arms so I can dial in the pinion angle. look up Baseline Suspensions online. they have very good write ups on suspension geometry & "how to launch a drag car". I got my uppers from them. Im no expert but thats what I did. dont for get a good set of shocks & struts too.

Thanks for the reply, Im goin for more road race handling... and im kinda goin cheap so i can save for a new car :D I just wanna lose the 4x4 status and love the stance of the super sports... is installing them a pain in the a**? Like can it be done with just a few feet on either side? I got the spring install tool from mm as well... it was like 13 bucks so i figured what the heck.

Use electrical tape to tape the isolators (you got new poly ones I hope) to the springs. It will help hold them in place while you position the new springs.

Yes!!! But you will be happy when it is done :)

The onlly thing I will say is that when I put H&R's on my car (Sport, not Super Sport) The rear sat a bit lower than I liked so I ended up buying some adjustable rear control arms to rais the rear up a bit. They say both the Sport and Super Sport springs lower the car 1.0 in the rear, but mine went down more than that. Maybe yours will sit differently, but that was my experience.

Good Luck!

If you care to take a look at the stance of the car there are pictures in the thread below.

As far as air tools go. An impact comes in handy for dis-assembly. But I don't think any are required.

Just like any other lowered car. It will depend on exhaust combo, and fitment at the headers (longtubes) and cat back.
I've got a lot of clearance for as low as my car is. But that's only because my h pipe fit horrible and had to be "customized".

Lol ya my mid pipe (magnaflow catted-h) :notnice: was hacked up today but still I dont have great clearance... even on my cat back (spintech pro streets) :nice: but ya i just have super basic tools if that so it should be a challenge. Did you remove the strut from the tower or the part the hub is on? (cant remember the name haha)
