Short Shift

Looking to install short shift in my 97 gt
How hard is it?
How long does it take?
And any suggestions on brand? Not looking to spend too much

Easy to do, probably about an hour, maybe a lil more depending on how fast you take the trim pieces out and can loosen the bolts.

I have mgw and love it but I would a few other chioces as well. As far as cost they will all be around 200 no matter what the brand is.

Ya my last one was. It looks the same as b&m and other brands but over half off figure its worth a try, and I thought it worked great way better then I expected and at 50 bucks how can u go wrong? Lol.

You can go wrong if it damages your transmission :) I wouldn't trust a $50 part on something worth thousands.

On that note, I've only used the Steeda Tri-Ax in my '95 and '04. I like them. I hear good things about the MGW. Wish I would have tried one.

Install is simple. Just read the instructions carefully and make sure you set the stop points correctly. They should not hinder movement of the shifter AT ALL.

UPR blue thunder for my 99 gt with t45 i love it, no complaints, and great price too, and very trustable company

Thanks for the recommendation. Our shifter does work really well, it has a lifetime guarantee, it's only $135 with the Stangnet discount, and it's very easy to install. :nice:

I have a MGW on my car. It's a great all around shifter, my only complaint being it's not the best shifter for the drag strip.

It is very adjustable with respect to handle angle and height. The quality of it is ridiculous. It looks so good I want to remove my shift boot and look at the shifter itself.
