Hot air coming from vents

Hi I'm new here and have a question. I have an 05 GT 5 speed and I've noticed that when driving I am getting warm to hot air coming out of my air vents, primarily out of the 2 center vents. It only does this when I have the air shut off. If I put the a/c on it blows cold and blows hot when I put the heat on. The temperature gauge reads normal as well. Is there anything I should be worried about?

I don't know much but I thought you usually hear a clicking noise when your blend door goes bad? I may be wrong. But I haven't heard any type of sound coming from it. If this is what's wrong how much of a necessity is it to get it fixed?

Ive known a few cars to do this. I suppose its to keep a little air circulation in the cabin. depending on where your temp knob is set will determine the temp of the air. come to think of it, it was more noticeable today

I have this as well. I think it is just a symptom of the poorly designed climate controls. The entire heater core area gets hot and emits radiant heat. The only true way to eliminate it is to put in a manual bypass valve on the firewall where the coolant line runs to the heater core. This way in the summer you can close the valve and keep hot radiator fluid out of the passenger compartment completely.

I took my 08 to the dealer for the same problem. He gave me 2 new Mustangs to drive after he tried to tell me it was "normal"....he was right. I was told that the heat was from something to do with emissions....not sure what that means. My 07 does the same thing....
