So I currently have 18x 9 chrome saleens on my 96gt. I have sumitomo 285's with about 5k miles on them. I have an opportunity to trade for some welds with mickey's out back and littles up front. How are these as.far as.driving around town or 50-100 miles round trip. Obviously their lighter what can I expect performance wise at the track? Almost a half second better?

Keep in mind that with littles up front if u take a corner at at any kind of fast speed (35+) the front end may have some wheel hop to it so theyre not ideal for daily driving. If they are 5"i wheels up front it wont be too terrible but just giving you a heads up.. i know people dd with big and littles sometimes but when i ran littles up front i had to slow the hell down when it came to curves and turns

Haha ^^ I wouldn't be to concerned about dailying with the skinniest up front I've never ha any issues with them at all still could take corners kinda fast, felt like a regular front rim, and radials on the back in the rain is not fun! Gotta take it slow I was cruising in 4th and some water ran under the back tires and the car turned into ice I jumped a curb but didn't damage anything not even the 15x4 on the front!! But overall its not bad id say go for it makes a mean look!

Big and littles FTW. I love mine. The only thing that feels different compared to running 9's up front is the steering feels much lighter. Corners aren't a problem for me. Just don't go into a huge corner at like 60. Drag radials aren't bad in the rain as long as you stay out of it and don't play in it at all, and have good tread on the DR's.

they feel no different then 17's in normal driving i actually like 15's better feels like a smoother ride, might be mental, or might just be that they have alot more sidewall to pick up more bumps

What about on the highway with the skinnies up front? I will need new tires in about 3k miles if I do this trade. Realistically I only drive my car 1-2k miles a year anyway.

Only highway driving i did was to the track which is about 1 hour ride at 75 miles an hour and they felt no different then 17xs on the front handled just fine, and i have nexxen tires they have lasted about 10k miles so far and dont even look less then brand new id say treads about 85 % so they wear very well id reccomend the skinnies trust me you wont mind them, long story short i jumped a 8 inch curb and didnt bend one skinny or rim at all, they are pretty reliable and stronger then they look
