88 Gt Lower And Upper Help!

buddy of mine bought a ebay copy if procomp upper and lower, we installed it and now it idles rough and acts funny, it runs and runs heavy black smoke out the tail pipes, im not sure out to run the vaccums on this car and any help or input would help a lot! I have plenty of pictures stock to new

see how the tree is now gone, it supplied a T for the two remaing vaccum lines and I figured they would plug into the neck of the new intake

and last the big vac hose that goes in front

when I unplug both the vac lines on the neck it idles fine...once they are plugged in it wont idle if it does its rough, also feels like no brakes so are the brakes vaccum driven too? someone help me out! thanks

Ok ill try to help. Yes brakes need vaccum. The two lines in throttle body spacer to be honest. I dont knoe what its for. (I think its emissions) my car does not have any line hooked to these two spots. They are just open, got car that way and left it. So if its better with out disconnect them. Plug or reroute to where needed, mine may acually be pluged. Need vaccum to: brakes. Pcv, fuel pressure regulator for engine and stopping. Hope any of what i put helps

When he's talking about the vacuum lines on the neck I think he means the neck of the intake, not the throttle body spacer.

To the OP, where do those two lines run back to, the ones that are on the neck of the upper intake? I just got done replacing my upper and lower so I'm fairly familiar with all the vacuum lines and where they go.
