Started acting funny one day, like it was starving or hesitating for fuel or air. Would idle real high like 1200 to 1400 rpm's. Anyway made to O'Reillys ran a check n said o2'S, EGR, purge silianode were bad n a miss fire on #1. Replaced all n it got worse. Come to find out plug wires were bad. Got everything in order, now won't run n it backfired on me. PLEASE HELP, before I have to spend money that living on a fixed income, that I will never have.

There is ZERO information about the year car, engine, modifications or anything else.

All you have given us is some symptoms that are meaningless without details about the car, engine and any modifications.

You say you changed the plug wires. Check to make sure you dont have plug wires going to the wrong plugs.
