I hit that wall 10 years ago. Factory stock cars were coming out with 350-450hp and a warranty and dead nuts even streetability. For the vast majority of us that meant a fox that was insufferable except for on the track. I cut my teeth on f-bodies and BBC engines, but now......meh Tahoe's and suburbans were making that kind of HP. The coyote has opened that window for fox owners to have a power/weight ratio to run sub 12 second times and still have AC and power steering and not reek of race gas or exhaust. I enjoy the simplicity of a bolt on fox but given a chance to start clean I'd pounce on a coyote swap right away.Yep.... that's what we all said...
Bought the car stock 4 years ago
I'd be happy with an HCI making 300RWHp - did it
Id'e be Happy with a V3 making 450 rwhp - did it
So....... now when my stock block goes......... and my AOD......and my 28 spline axles
I can spend another $20k on a Coyote swap, new trans, and 33 spline axles and tru trac... and 5 lug swap... and smooth the inner fenders...and battle boxes... and a MM K member....and......... get the picture?
It's never over .. ask Scott, Jeff, or MadMike.... you can EASY drop $30-50k in one of these cars without blinking an eye
