    Signed Up For 1st Autox

So went ahead and signed up for my first autox in a couple weeks. I'm really looking forward to it to find certain limits of the car in that environment. Ideally, I want to start doing a track day or two a year...but feel this is probably the safest, cheapest, and less wear n tear route to start...

    Rev Assist?

So, I don't know if this is even a feature...but when upshifting, the engine likes to sit at the next rpm if you are going to shift to the next gear up like 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, etc. Is there anyway to turn this off that I'm missing? Sometimes I can get up to the speed I need in 2nd or 3rd and...

    SOLD 2010 Kawasaki Z1000

As the title states, it's a 2010 Z1000 in excellent condition. The only modifications done to the bike are a set of Spiegler SS brake lines (orange) with HH pads in the front and aftermarket pads in the rear (standard composition). Braking performance is night and day different compared to the...

    Hurry Up Friday

Long time old school member here....started out with a 68 mustang about 18 years ago and thats where I found this wonderful place. That one is long gone, and almost picked up a new stang back in '11....but went with a bike instead and a truck. Well, truck life is pretty boring....so hopefully...

    2012 Adjustable Steering

Just test drove one of the 2012's. I'd have to say that adjustable steering is pretty damn sweet. Sport mode tightens it up real nice! Definitely worth the wait :D Now to just place my order here in a few weeks haha. -Frank

    Stripe Longevity

Evenin' all, I'm going to be ordering up a '12 in a month or so and have a question as I narrow down my build out. The dealer I am working with has no problem ordering up the GT500 strip kit and tossing them on a GT...they tossed some black ones on one of their yellow GTs and it looks pretty...

    Wooo look at the dust!

Man...it's been a good many years since I've been here. Fortunately, the '11 stang has me salivating to trade in my current ride and order up a '12 GT. Anyway, it's good to be back...don't have the '68 stang anymore, but I'll have a true replacement very soon ;) Good to see the board still...

    Need advice...carb related...

Alright...first off, I can only assume this is carb related...if it is, I'm tempted to toss the ancient holley back on and send this carb back to edelbrock. Carb is set with stock jets, and pink secondary springs. Choke is operating fine, the valve is fully open when she warms up. I'm...

    Bad choke problems...

Sorry to be the recent post whore lately. Carb - Edelbrock 600 Performer But my choke is driving me nuts. Anytime I apply gas it wants to die, even after it's fully warmed up....infact, worse after it warms up. The only way to drive it with the choke on is to barely apply any gas and creep...

    Brake questions...

Alrighty, next weekend's project is getting the brakes dialed in. First... I want to toss some speed bleeders in, when I go to remove the old bleeders am I going to fill that line full of air when I take the old ones out? Second... I was going to consider some new drums as I'm sure...

    8" ring/pinion setup question...

8" ring/pinion setup question *Pics Update* Well my buddy got done putting in the gears for my rearend today. Took a little longer than he thought because he's a perfectionist hehe (I have no probs with that!). He currently has about 8-10 thousandths backlash on it. Now here's our question (1st...

    Last rearend disassembly question...

...I swear! Alright...all I have left to do is to get the carrier outta the housing...all the bolts are removed and what not. The PO used some sort of red RTV gasket junk on it, no sign of an actual gasket. Anyways, I can't get this d@mn thing off for the life of me. Been at it for 4 hours...

    Right axle removal problems...

Any tricks to getting the right one out? Left one came out no problem. I've been yanking on the right one for almost an hour now without even the slightest budge. Something I'm missing? -Frank

    Rearend help...

Rearend ID? Hell...gonna take it apart this weekend and pray it doesnt rain till then heh. Anyways, trying to figure out if I have a 8 or 9 inch rear. 68 coupe that originally came with a 289. There is no back cover plate on the rearend. It's a solid piece with a removable center from the...

    Bad day...

Well...I hope I'm worrying over nothing but a carb tuning issue. But basically I've been trying to fine tune this new edelbrock, pretty much under the impression I need to rejet and change out metering rods for it to be right. But I was driving to my other job today, carb was all screwed up and...

    Tranny & Carb question...

Wooo it never ends. Anyways, putting an edelbrock performer carb on 600cfm model 1406 and have a couple questions. First, my transmission has what appears to be a vacuum line that ran to the base area of my holley 4160. Not sure what this is for...kickdown? Now the edelbrock does not have...

    UPS Claus came by today!

And dropped off my new Edelbrock Perf. carb and stepup springs! wooooo! Been reading through the owner's manual and I think I'm gonna love how this is designed. Probably going to be the weekend before I can get the time to toss her on, can't wait! Any installation tips I need to know...

    Uhh...Question...lol...Carb related I think

Sorry about the vagueness of the title, I don't know the proper way to explain it heh. Started her up today and did the 'ol smoke a cig while she warmed up ritual. She was idling just fine for a few minutes then it started to get iffy, dropped a lil in RPM's and sounded a little rough. Took...

    Easy Holley Question...

Rebuilt the carb over the weekend, piece of cake actually, runs like a champ now. However, the electric choke isn't hooked up, and I'd like it to be. My question is I have two tabs, one marked positive which is the power and another marked Lean? I thought these were already grounded, so I dont...

    Quick carb question...

...but first off...hey again, havent been around in a long time...but have been trolling in the background lately. Now for my question, I have either a holley 4150 or 4160...ill check it tonight, and I'm considering a rebuild kit. The problem I'm having is the secondary floats keep getting...
