    severe vibration after t5 swap

The different pilot bearings result from the different crankshaft hole diameters between the 2.3 and the 5.0(and possibly how the input shaft length interacts with the different engines, IE: some engines have an "extended" pilot bearing to make up for a shorter input shaft) The only way it could...

    1966 Mustang

There is a "button" that must be depressed while turning the switch to both remove the old cylinder and install the new: I do remember when I replaced mine that the old one came out easier than the new one went in. It takes a little more fooling with it.

    severe vibration after t5 swap

Sounds like a flywheel issue to me(IE: mixing a 50oz flywheel with a 28oz balancer or vice versa) Nothing else that it could be if it vibrates in neutral right? Aside maybe from a defective pressure plate or something of that nature. Regardless, without knowing what parts were used its not...

    mustang II spindles

I have a whole thread on the conversion over on vintage mustang forums: https://www.vintage-mustang.com/threads/front-steer-fever-dreams-or-a-horse-of-a-different-color-or-a-different-kind-of-hybrid.1206452/#post-10712472 I did have to build "supplemental" steering arms because I had to drop...

    71-73 fastback conversion

Considering the low price(compared to other years) of the 71-73 fastbacks I don't see there being much demand for it. It would be more practical to just sell a coupe and buy a fastback for those years.

    mustang II spindles

Oh yeah...I finished my MII spindle conversion...it works and Ackerman is fine is the long and the short of it. There are a few qualifications to actually make it work(such as a 4" shortened steering rack and 17"+ wheels are required) but it does work.

    1966 coupe with 2005-2009 wheels

I ran those wheels for awhile on my coupe(to roll around before I replaced them). They require 1.5" spacers all around. I loved the way they look...but because of the front brake kit I wanted I was forced to go to 17s instead(in reality you have a lot more options for all kinds of things with...

Progress Thread 1966 Mustang Coupe: Ford 3.7L swap

While I was rear-steer for awhile. I finally swapped to front-steer by using (aftermarket)Mustang II spindles on (aftermarket)1966 Mustang control arms, and used a shortened Mustang II steering rack on a Mustang II weld-up crossmember that I modified to bolt in instead of weld in. I retain the...

Progress Thread 1966 Mustang Coupe: Ford 3.7L swap

Guess I had better update this thread a touch, among many other things, I changed the ITB setup out for a set of Jenvey throttle bodies: There are actually a ton of other mods...but this is the current project(finished aside from having to re-do the fuel system and hook up the throttle...

    65 to 69 Fuel Tank

I think CJs offers a conversion filler neck as well. I just made my own.

    Coupes

Coupes just look meaner than fastbacks(or convertibles) to me. Owned 3 classic mustangs over the years...all coupes and wouldn't have it any other way.

    Ford 1965 T5 IRS

T5s came with IRS? I thought the only (vintage)Mustangs that had IRS were those Shelby experimental models(Green Hornet, etc)

    Randalls Rack and pinion steering

Can't help with anything t do with Randall's Rack, but if I were you, if you are talking about removing the actual steering shaft from the worm and sector box, you would want to contact Chock over at the forums at vintage-mustang.com he rebuilds the boxes all the time and might give you advice...

Engine starts, but will not run

You say it tries to start....ae you saying that the starter solenoid is failing to disengage? What I mean by starter solenoid is the little plunger with the gear on it in the starter itself...not that firewall mounted thing people refer to as the starter solenoid.

Engine starts, but will not run

Jumping time on a pushrod engine is far more unlikely than it is on an OHC engine. Can you turn the engine over by hand(IE, by using a socket and ratchet and turning the crank bolt)? The car would need to be in neutral.

Brakes Rear Brake Conversion, how to tell small from large? 1970 Mach 1 4 Spd 3.75 rear

I will also pass on a piece of advice: Rear discs on a Mustang will not decrease your stopping distance....nor will they decrease stopping distance on any other car. To take that a step further... no brake "upgrade" out there for either front oar brakes will decrease your stopping distance(with...

Brakes Rear Brake Conversion, how to tell small from large? 1970 Mach 1 4 Spd 3.75 rear

Its pretty easy. Is the flange flat at the top? If yes, you have a small ford, if the flange has a "peak" at the top you have a big ford, if it also has a "peak" at the bottom, then that big ford is late rather than early...and of course double checking by measuring bolt pattern gives you peace...

    1969 Front fender Apron measurements

The fender bolt holes truly don't matter. Maybe if you are going concours restoration...but if you are doing that, you aren't using repop stuff anyway. The fenders cover those holes and the fender nuts have enough adjustment you don't run into any problems during assembly. I don't have a '69...

will an SN95 8.8 rear end fit into my 68 stang?

The thread is 15 years old...I doubt you will find the site...pretty sure cardomain has shut down, now its just a facebook page. Its amazing a few forums liek this still exist...pretty much everything has gone to misc facebook groups and information is so much harder to find now since most of...

67 no power to coil yet turns over

Ah, that makes sense now. Since you are getting rid of the resistor wire, wire 32 will now provide a full 12v to the solenoid...with the resistor in place, the solenoid was depending on wire 262 to get full voltage(otherwise it would only get 9v) so it wasn't redundant after all. Just be aware...
