Has anyone installed aftermarket sound system with the factory NAV? Is it even possible to upgrade (replace) the Shaker 500 without losing the NAV?

Does the factory installed DVD Nav have to go if I want to install a new sound system? (I found a 2009 Bullitt but it has nav. Not something I would have ordered, but I'm stuck with it. Do I have to remove it to put in a real sound system?) Anyone have any experience with this?
