I have a 1970 Mach 1. Looking to get rid of the stock steering and upgrade to a rack and pinion. What in your opinion is the best choice? Theres so many I have no idea. Looking for something that's straight forward to install with no major modification.

Its definitely tranny fluid. The tranny was rebuilt in 1997 but I would agree that it is the front shaft seal. Is that seal replaceable by a do it your self guy like me or does it involve disassembly of the tranny or special tools? I would take the tranny out myself and take it to a shop if...

I lowered my 1970 Mach 1 by getting 2inch drop coils and 2inch lowering blocks. My question is "do I need to be concerned with drive shaft angle? How would I adjust if needed? Should I shim up the tranny some? Would this be enough to help? Any advice is appreciated.

I guess I should replace the seals on the input shaft of the trans. How hard is it to change this seal? Is there any special tools needed? Or should I pull the trans and give it to a shop? It's starting to feel like i'm talking to myself in here LOL:rlaugh:

What areas could the trans leak from after it has been sitting for some time. Obviously the pan but that is not where the leak is coming from. The lines could be a possibilitly but there good also.

I bought an ebay 2 row aluminum w/ trans cooler for about 225 to my door. I had to have the cheap plastic drain plug welded up but it works great now. Bolted right in and fan shroud fit fine.
