On the 86 vert we are working on for my dad . When you first start it , it will jump to about 2000 rpm , then immediatly die , if you give it some gas it runs fine untill you let off the gas , then it dies. Once you do this though you can start the car and it will sit and idle fine at 900 rpm ...

The hard brake line that runs to the passenger side front caliper is broken on my dads 86 gt. anybpdy know what years are the same ? I am looking at gettoing one from my local junkyard. I know a 87-93 5.0 will not work. What about a 87-93 4 cyl? or a 85-86 4cyl ? thanks for the help.
