I can't answer your question but a buddy of mine has a SD 88 GT with over 210,000 miles on it and he ran a 13.6@around 100. He has CAI, MSD coil, a VERY short belt, batt relo, O/R H pipe, Flow catback, 3.90s and ET streets.
I just recently cut the stock tube in 2 about 10" from where it hooks to the stock H. I started taking my car to my buddy's shop which has a lift you drive up on. Well, when we installed the stock H, we forgot to hang the tube 1st. Cutting the tube was the easiest way to get it in on that lift...
O2 sensors screw in. You can use an o2 sensor socket or just use a tubing wrench so you don't round off the head. You won't have to cut your AP tube if you hang it up before you install the pipe. You can cut the AP tube to remove it when the pipe is installed, just makes it easier. I'm...
That too as well as the number and quality of bends in the pipe. In this case, a straight pipe, H or X w/o cats, will greatly reduce the amount of backpressure thus reducing the low end torque, which is noticeable during around town driving.
With the increased flow and stock motor, you're going to loose some low end torque due to the lack of backpressure but gain a few HP in the upper R's. The sound is AWESOME! :hail2: I didn't notice the low end loss until I put my cats back on for emissions, back when I was N/A.
No, it won't set off the CE light. I'm always swapping my o/r H to the stock cats for emissions testing and have never had a CE light or any problems at all.
