SOLD 1994-1998 (1994-2004?) Saleen Speedster Tanneau Cover (rio Red) (dfw)

Howdy all, have a 1994-1998, or 1994-2004 Saleen Speedster Tanneau cover. I’ve read it fits to 2004, but that seems crazy. I’m 95% sure it’s a real saleen cover, since it fits the light bar, and made of the strong light material (not the flimsy one that cracks, and it’s light enough to install...

65 Convert- New subframes, not impressed. (?)

I'm one of those guys that is not sensitive to car changes- I've added all kinds of power enhancers, all kinds of suspension pieces, and I don't notice much. They are all done right, but it has to be a supercharger for me to notice something different. That being said, when I recently re-did...

65 Convert- New subframes, not impressed. (?)

I mean stiffness in the body, it does not twist, etc. My thought was that the subframe connectors would just make the car, 'better.'

65 Convert- New subframes, not impressed. (?)

I guess my old convertible is somewhat solid- Before the subframe connectors, when jacking, there was no real noticeable door gap change. Maybe ford did their job- 'verts are stiffer than I thought.

65 Convert- New subframes, not impressed. (?)

I got a set of global west subframes welded onto the convertible, and I can't tell a difference- at all. Yes, they are welded correctly, in the correct spots. Has anyone else had this experience? I've always read it's supposed to be extremely noticeable, the best mod you can do to a...

Door latch problems- new latch. 65-66. Picts inside.

Got a new pass. door latch for my 65. The old one would not stay shut, and randomly pop open at times, making the girl 'timid' and 'upset' about sitting next to me. So, new latch from NPD. Repro. First, the three mounting screws don't fit *perfect* like the old latch- not excited about...

pink resistor wiring- easy way to do it?

Perfect Thanks Tim, that is the exact info I needed to see. Wires are run, and connected. All is well in the world of 12v power now! Thanks everyone

pink resistor wiring- easy way to do it?

It's got a pink "do not cut" wire- no block resistor to be found either. I assume he's a resistor wire- not getting 12v where it counts. :)

pink resistor wiring- easy way to do it?

Howdy all- Have me a 1965 and I need to wire around the pink ignition resistor wire. I see it behind the cluster, as it crawls into a mysterious wiring loom, then as far as I can tell it turns into a 'normal' wire as it comes out of the firewall connector on the engine side. So, how long...

Power Steering pump identification problem 65

This site that gjz referenced is amazing- there is a TON on P/S information on it. More than any mortal human being could ever wrap their head around. Good stuff.

Power Steering pump identification problem 65

howdy all- I have a (rare?) p/s pump I think- it's for an early 65 with A/C. It has the "large neck." You see them for sale in the parts books for $275+, with no core needed. But they never have rebuilt ones... So I thought I found one at NPD. On my car, the return hose inlet points...

94 Cobra died on highway, won't turn over but has power

What I did to fix this: The problem is that terminal B-4 in the ignition switch (see picts in earlier post) is not getting power for whatever reason. Fusible link/burnt wire. I checked what fusible links I could find (on the outside of the under-hood fuse box, going to the charging circuit)...

94 Cobra won't start- tried many things

Pictures. I took apart my stock one to see where the power was coming from. Wire B4 seems to power the STA (starter wire- goes to the starter relay). I have power to B4 in the 'on' position. when I go to the start position, no power. You'll see in the dissected picture that B4 has that extra...

94 Cobra won't start- tried many things

Anyone got a pinout of the ignition switch? That'd be cool. I have a listing from the haynes manual, but it doesn't really say where they go, or come from...

94 Cobra won't start- tried many things

I can hotwire it- that is, clamp +12 onto the white/pink wire coming out of the ignition switch, with the key in and on the 'on' position and it fires right up like a good car. I've studied over the Hayne's starting wiring diagram- I don't see what I'm missing. I could install a 'push...

94 Cobra won't start- tried many things

Howdy all, the day that I might sell my cobra, it won't start. Funny, eh? The car usually starts and runs perfectly. When you put the key to the start position, nothing happens... in the on position, the fuel pump primes, the dash lights come on, all looks and sounds normal. But when you...

How I mounted a 65-66 aftermarket radio in the glovebox

This message might go in the Sound forum, but they don't ever seem to talk about classic mustangs there... I have had a cd player in the glove box for years- and it just sits there- on top of a block of wood. Crappy way of doing it, but I could never figure out a good way to mount it. It...

No Power, pops out back, runs hot, and Pi$$ me off

Not sure if you have access, but if you have another carb, might want to pop that on to see if there is a large difference. Maybe a friend's carb? That'll tell you if it's a carb problem, quickly. I had lots of problems under load- I went for the timing/carb first- it turned out to be either...

94 Cobra died on highway, won't turn over but has power

Howdy all- there are many 'my car died' threads, but I have not come across one like mine (yet) I was driving down the highway and the car just died. Still had power windows, radio, and internal stuff like that, but NO juice to the engine. could not pop the clutch to make it work either...
