1.7 rocker questions

well, I got a question...


do rockers ever lose there effectiveness? say with a few thousand miles do they still perform as good as out of the box?

gotta chance to buy some 1.7rockers with a few thousand miles on em for 100 bucks

they will still do the same thing as before. as long as they dont have a lot of miles on them they should be fine. i put a set of rockers on my car that had about 2k miles on them and they were fine.

I have used the same set of Comp Cams stock ratio, stud mount roller tip rockers on 3 engines since 1987, and about 100,000 miles. Seem fine by me.

yea, there is no reason that they should wear unless the bearings are screwed but I haven't seen that yet

APPARENTLY over time the aluminum ones can crack and really bend bad so they wont provide as much lift. But I havent seen it yet. The steel ones are supposed to be heavier but better because they will flex rather than bend/crack.

oh yea, when i said aluminum i mean like the blue billet aluminum, im not sure about alloy.
