17x7 wheels, what tires?

i think you should be safe with a 245/45-17 depending on offset... or 225/50-17 both would be within .5mph of actual at 60mph...

stock width is 225... 215 is too skinny... unless you want them skinny.

225/50/17 would give you the closest to stock size, but it's 0.2" taller than stock. If you are lowered, this might cause you to rub.

I would go 235/45/17 as it's slightly shorter than stock (25.3" vs stock 25.7") so it will fit better in the front wheel wells. A 235 should easily fit a 7" wide rim. Usually you go by a rule of tire size 2" wider than rim. So 9" would be 225. you have room to move, so a 235 or 245 is possible.

i had 245/35/18 on my last 18x9 rim and it looked too stretched. for the fronts i really dont want sidewall bulge, i just want the tire to line up nicely and not looked stretched or like balloon wheels.

couldn't i go with a 225/45/17 to bring it down slightly shorter than stock?

these are 16x8's... mine with 245's

they dont look bulgy to me.

but maybe on a 7 they would.

Well, this is a 235/45/17 on a 8" wide rim

So take away a 1/2" from front and rear and judge for yourself how a 235 might be on a 7" wide wheel

stock diameter is 25.7"

A 225/45/17 is 25.0"
A 235/45/17 is 25.3"

Your call really

probably pretty close to what i want! i would've kicked myself if i got another set of tires that looked "stretched".
