1991 Fox Belt Problem

i have under drive pulleys and i deleted my smog pump and i can find a belt i tried a 77 5/8 and all the way down to s 75 1/2 does anyone know what size belt i need

I did it the pink way but someone said the water pump was spinning backwards and would have to do it the purple way but the belt touches when the tensioner pushes on it

but i looked at it multi pule times and it looks right to me

You need to route like the second pic down on the left. What size/length you need is the variable since you have UD pulleys.

Whoever told you it would be spinning backward doesn't know what they're talking about. Although it doesn't seem so, the water pump will turn in the same direction no matter how the belt is routed so long as the smooth side is contacting the pulley. Do it like you had it before. You had it right the first time.

Pink way (or blue if you don't have A/C).

Get a string and measure it since aftermarket pulley sizes can vary
