1993 5.0 Mis Shifted- 1st Instead Of 3rd!

If you floated a valve the car would run bad, i floated a valve after missing a shift at track with stock motor running nos my window switch was not working right so i bypassed it. So when i missed that shift and the nos was not shutting down those poor skimpy stock rockers couldnt keep up, i bearly could limp car home. Another time when i was driving my car home from work this is with my new engine i started hearing a loud knocking, so i pulled over it felt like a pushrod hitting valvecover drivers side front. Then it stopped so i drove it home on 7 cylinders i figured it either broke a rocker or it backed off. After researching the forums i ordered a new set of ARP rocker studs before the valve cover was off and sure enough i broke a stud. Something people running AFR heads should think about upgrading to ARP rocker studs.

So I'm assuming exhaust smell has no correlation to my scenario?

Brother did this at the track and hurt his T5. I did it on the highway and no I'll effects other than the mess in my shorts (merging onto the highway in front of an 18 wheeler).
