Ok guys, I'm doing a swap in my 87 2.3 lx. It is now a 2.3, 5-speed car and i'm going to be putting a carbed 302 in it. I have a list of parts i'll need but i just wanted to see what else or what you guys would have to add to this thread... add whatever you would like...your swaps, your comments, your critisism. It doesnt matter to me i just want to get more info on the swap. here is what i know....
1. I DO NOT have to change the brake line, i can just use turndowns exhaust and not go to the axle with em.
2. I can use my tranny, if i get a bellhousing, the block plate, a new clutch
3. I dont have to change my rearend ass long as i'm not pushing a bunch of power.
4. I can use my stock radiator,its the same.at least with a mild 302 its ok
I need these parts:
1.motor
2.carb
3.intake
4.distributor
5.driveshaft length?
6.tach
7.a few gauges
8.motor mounts
9.exhaust
10.flywheel=50 oz. inbalance
11.fuel pressure regulator to use stock in tank pump
I WILL HAVE FROM $1,500 to $2,000 TO DO THIS...
i have looked for a complete donor but havent found one yet....still looking
