Yeah, Saleen's price is why I don't own one like I had planned on. Although I know of a 2003 SC-281 with 1800 miles that I can get for $30,000. A guy bought it and then ended up having to give the dealer either $18,000 more or give the car back. He gave the car back. (Long Story)

my buddies is I BELIEVE a 2003 360r it had like 28k miles on it and he paid close to 30 for it from a dealership... those cars can haul ass tho and his had exhaust and chip upgrade and the dealership tiold him they estimated 420hp on that bad boy... i cant member what else was added to it.... then he blew it up and the exhaust had to come off for the regular rousch exhaust :( it sounded soooo cool though. car handles well has MAJOR power and stops VERy well(he learned that quick) overall i like them alot but i will say i still prefer the saleen in looks :nice:

No thanks. It's a GT with bolt on's. If it was a 4V or atleast forged, I would get it.

Or, if I was in the market for a new car, like a few months ago when I got my Cobra, I would of highly considered it.

Look at the resale value of a GT with bolt-ons then look at the resale
    value of a Saleen.
    Anybody can mod a gt.
Very good purchase on the Cobra though. If they would have had a
03 Cobra on the lot for what I paid for mine I dont know which
I would have bought. But if in 5 years we compare resale value I'm
sure I'll be happy with mine.

I don't care to much about re-sale value. Not enough to sway a decision in purchasing one vehicle compared to another.

I remember looking at a Stage 2 Roush that had a sticker price of $39,9xx. Ten feet away was a 03 Cobra selling at sticker of $35,000 (this was awhile ago when they could get that price). I couldn't justify buying the Stage 2 when the Cobra was cheaper, way faster, better seats, better engine, etc.... The only thing the Roush had was the looks. A 03 Cobra is somewhat bland looking.

Over the past year I almost bought a Saleen S281, Saleen S/C 281, Roush Stage 2, and a Stage 3. In the end I picked the Cobra. Not so sure if that was the best move on my part.

Yeah it kinda makes me sick when I know I could have bought a Cobra.
But when I take it out and get thumbs up at every light, gas station and
I've even had people take pictures of it at red lights beside me. I'll just have to make it as fast as it looks. :D The suspension and brakes are amazing. It would have been nice to be sittin on 400rwhp stock though :bang:

Yeah, the looks of a Saleen are amazing. There's no doubt about that.

Throw a blower on there and you are set. :nice:
