Yuk!

Do you have the link to the ad plz? I need to post the pic on our local forum as a warning!

The ad already expired on Craig's List. There was another close pic of the wheels, but it looked worse than the first image I posted (I think I deleted it already). I will keep the current image up, so others can have a good laugh.

I always think of covered wagon wheels from the old west when I see those things...good god man!
Now that I think about it, you're right

Well, IMHO, anything over 15" falls into the same category.

It is not "Classic".

I agree 100%. Remember several years ago when the real small OD tires that stuck way out were in style. Hopefully this ignorance will pass soon too.

I thought I would bring this thread up from the dead because yesterday at the Mustang's Plus car show another one showed up.

On the other hand I added a clean looking fastback (parked right across from the wagon) to add some relief.

You mean this one?

Now that's hot! It is a little more tasteful than the Mustang that started this exchange. I bet that if you told someone in 1967 that you were going to put 17" or 18" wheels on a Mustang, that you would have been met with much criticism as well. Not all large wheels look good on a Mustang, or any car for that matter. But remember, it's all a matter of opinion and a person's idea of beauty.

I just want to say that this guy, hands down, was one of the friendliest Mustang owners there. There were quite a few guys that weren't friendly at all(how should I say this?....stuck up maybe), but they sure had nice cars! Anyway, I absolutely loved what he did with this fastback. Simple, sexy, and straight to the point. I didn't stay to see who won what... Does anybody know?
