It may be a little early to tell, but there are so many changes to the '05 block that I wouldn't be suprised if it would be cheaper to jusy buy a 3v engine. Kind of like the 2v to 4v swap, it's more than just bolting new heads on
The variable valve timing could complicate matters too. What is Ford's name for that anyway?
I would think it would be the same deal, but there is a guy on Modular Depot that has been running a 5.4L with 3V truck heads for a little while. I'm not sure what all was involved. I tried to find the thread again, but didn't have any luck.
i think ford calls it VCT, Variable Cam Timing. its a little too early to tell on a final cost i believe. i wonder if anyone has gotten any aussie 3v heads to swap on yet.
