hell if they did more than 30 seconds of WOT they would have figured out they needed to fix the cooling issue on what, cylinders 7 and 8?
i could imagine 30 hours of testing, bringing the motor from idle, up the rpm band under load, back down again, wot, holding certain rpm points, and repeat, all being computer controlled and monitored around the clock. i could see lubrication issues, oil breakdown from excessive heat, etc, from anything longer.
3000 hours is insanely excessive. 125 days is 1/3 the year! even the 'El Es Juan built by the hands of god, could not last.
