347-will this work for a while?

i have a 347 shortblock, but don't have cash for heads or s/c. its 8:5:1 compression. how good/bad will this perform on street with ported gt-40 and cobra upper/lower intake? its for sale also, but just don't have cash to build it right. its a chp pro-dominator kit.

It'll work just fine - ought to be really torquey down low and in the midrange - and will run out of juice relatively low in the rev range.
