canton, oh
here goes:
it was a fun weekend. during t&t on fri i got a good run and ran a 9.88. i didn't get a slip because friday was a big cluster****. so i guess no slip = didn't happen.
saturday during true street they said if you run in the nines, you BETTER have all of your stuff in order (which i don't).
1st pass- launched 3000 @ 3.5# 1.60 60' 10.16@114. i got on the brakes pretty good at the 1000ft. i ran 114 in the 1/8.
2nd pass- 1.70 60 10.44@102. same deal, 113 in the 1/8.
3rd pass- said screw it, i'll run it out the back and get my 9 sec slip. 1.58 60' 10.17@135. WTF?!? it was breaking up pretty good, which it didn't do the other passes at all. i lost 4.5 mph in the 1/8.
that gave me a 10.24 avg, which placed me 3rd in true street (out of 120 cars). i also get $100 for the lowest 10 sec avg. not bad showing for standing on the brakes 2 out of 3 runs.
i got to run in a top 8 true street heads up race. i took 3 jets out of the back, hoping to clear up the car. well, i guess i of fouled the plugs on the 2nd run, because it broke up again to a 10.15@135. next round i lined up against the #1 true street winner. he did a 3ft wheel stand and killed me. this pass was the same as the last two. 10.18@133, breaking up.

1.60 60' 6.47@114.
last year on my 10.00@137 run = 1.58 60' [email protected]. so i gained 3.5 mph in the 1/8.
the converter is a bit looser. 2200 on the foot brake last year, 3000 this year. i don't know how it's doing on the bnig end, since i didn't get a clean 1/4 run.
the w/b said 11.0 (i shoot for 12.0 on e85). plug gap is already .020"

Are you thinking the E85 because of the RICH condition problem with that carb, or did they figure it out ?
Are the tires blowing up at the line ?
Sorry for all the Q's. Mines running and reading this makes me breathe heavy.

Who set up the carb for E85?
me.

you need to run SO much more e85 than gas, you're starting completely from scratch with the tune. i'm haven't got it yet.
the launches are good. i was only leaving @ 3k and 3-4 lbs.
