The tweecer is a chip like product that connects to a computer via usb and has up to 4 programs in 2 bank mode and 2 programs in 4 bank mode that you can switch while driving. The RT version of it alows you to datalog and monitor up to 16 inputs live on the EEC. Go to
www.tweecer.com I have alot of fun using it, you can even download their software and play around with it for free. The hardware supports anything and more than a chip does and their software keeps getting better. The best thing about it is that you can monitor what the computer is seeing while your driving.
I think the tweecer would be fine for daves car. When you get it you just dl the cal. from his computer and copy tables and setting from a 99+ tune.
