Are 5.0 HO blocks like whats in the Mustang GT, different from a 5.0 thats in a Lincoln Towncar? Or are the blocks the same. I know the heads/cam/intake are different. Would they ahve different pistons? Or is everything heads down the same?

I think it all depends on the years of the different cars you're talking about. Like the older 5.0 stangs are non-roller. Newer ones are. Same for other cars. I have a '97 Mountaineer block that is roller, a '95 F-150 block that is roller, and a '69 F-100 block that is non-roller. I do know that Towncars and Thunder Chickens came with rollers ..... but I don't know if early one's did or not.

BTW, if anyone's interested, I'm willing to get rid of these blocks. :D

Okay, sorry... I misunderstood your question. I don't know what the differences are between the motors (camparing roller to roller or non to non). I do know Ford liked to change pistons around in Stangs, so I'm sure the other cars have their differences, too.
