My car has been parked for about a week because Ive been working and the rain. I drove my car today and noticed a little smoke from under the hood. When I got home I popped the hood and noticed that alot of smoke was coming from the boot on the #6 spark plug wire boot. I couldn't find any evdense of oil getting on it or anything else abnormal. I don't have time to mess with it tonight before I go to work, but I wanted to see if any one else has seen this. Help a brotha out!

well only a few things that it could logically be,
1. the boot is burning on the header pipe
2. the spark plug has loosened up and the exhaust is blowing past the threads, but you'd probally hear a exhaust leak, or have a missfire.
3. valve cover gaskets are leaking and oil is running down to that area which gets very hot.

check it out and let us know.

I drove the car around the block today and to see if I could find leaking oil around the valve cover. Sho Nuff, Oils is splattering out onto the spark plug boot. It just kinda scared me yesterday, since it was smoking so bad. Thanks Bro. Ima fix it today.
