Probably have a wearing ball joint. Is it when you turn the wheel? You could replace it with Steedas Ball joints. They are supposed to be pretty good.

how much should i pay for installing gears??? some shop quoted me 625$$$ is that to much??
I paid 590 for gears and all of the bearings replaced. A gear install can be had for around 400. Check throughly because the price differs in different areas.
