97 Cobra runs hot in the summer

    I have a 97 Cobra. It runs hot in the summer only (I live in Houston).

    It does not have the air dam under the front bumper. Is this required for cooling, could it be the problem?

    Yes - that air dam is essential for cooling. Make sure you find a replacement piece.

    Definately! You must have this to direct the air up into the radiator. These cars don't have the best cooling systems anyways. I participate in road course events and if it's above 80 degrees, my car gets hot after about 10 min of WOT. I'm looking to upgrade to a Fluidyne this spring.
