A few quick, dumb questions

I'm busy taking apart my '69 Mach 1 (which is actually pretty fun), and I have a few quick, dumb questions that couldn't be answered in the Search or any books that I had:

How do I remove the windshield wipers so that I can take off the cowl cover?

How do I remove the main front wiring harness connection? Does it just pull out (I've tried pulling hard, and dont want to destroy it), or is there a catch realease to remove it from the firewall?

For wires with rubber grommets (ie. rear parking lights and license plate light), do I have to cut them to remove them? It seems impossible to back out the grommets.

For the wipers, you can get a tool from K-D (available at most parts stores or online) that hooks over the end of the wiper arm. You then lift the wiper arm and it will come right off.

On the wire grommets, it helps to lube them , then push around the edges from behind (carefully) with a flat-bladed screwdriver. It can be difficult due to the age and hardness of the rubber they're made from, but it's possible unless they are rock hard.
