I shift where you do for normal street driving and as far as there is no such thing as a stupid question, yours is not, but some can be, like if I'm washing my car and my neighbor says, "are you washing your car"? or if I'm . . . well you get the idea.

Street driving, I usually shift between 1500 and 2000.

According to my owners manual this is best for gas mileage.

Agreed I shift at 2000 rpm's for normal street driving, that is what the owners manual recommends for optimal gas mileage.

i usually shift 2500-3000
