I know this has come up before, so I used the search button... But of course it comes back with no results lol. Our cars are worth **** KBB, but we all know they are worth more. If I get into a fender bender, I don't want my insurance company to total it out cause there is $1K in damages, and the car is only worth $2100 KBB.

Anyone know of any insurance companies that do the agreed upon insurance? I know it's hard because our cars are not considered "classic" yet. Let me know! Insurance lapses next month :D

I would love to, but I have another year before I can qualify (10 years driving experiance). And even with that, I hope they count a learners permit. lol I'm sorta screwed until then.

I'd hope so too. I really don't want to be covered by an insurance company that is going to crush my car, cause a fender got dented

We use Hagerty for both the 93 and the 96. Quite cheap and great coverage.

I just went through this with my 89. I bought an 02 GT to drive everyday, and wanted to put agreed value insurance on the 89. I shopped around with all the companies and had pretty much decided to go with American Hobbyist. The blue book is about $1000, but they were going to insure it for $8000 for about $165 a year. I discussed it with my State Farm agent and she convinced me to stay with them. They put it on a "classic car policy". It is insured for $8000, at a cost of $190 a year. It was a little more, but there are no restrictions like with the other companies. I can drive it to work or as much as I want. I just had to show her several examples of similar cars going for that price. She also took pictures of it.
