My brother and I took my car to Maple Grove a couple weeks ago, this was my first time at a track. The cars mods are: BBK 1 5/8's lt's, bbk o/r h pipe, flows(crush bent tailpipes), hurst shifter, 3.27's, (it also has 17 in cobras, with toyo proxie 4's on). Full interior, spare and jack, pdl, pmirror, and manual windows.

    My time:
    rt: .395(lol)
    60: 2.477(LOL)
    330: 6.432
    1/8: 9.690
    mph: 76.3
    1000: 12.490
    1/4: 14.647
    mph: 95.16

My question is pretty much is there any room for improvement with what I have right now. The mph seems a little high for 14.65, but I dunno thats why I am asking you guys to check it out.

With a good 60' I definatly think you can break into the high 13's...dont forget stprorolla ran a 14.2 but his car weighs significantly more than your notch :nice:

Yea, mph may be just a tad bit high for the et but its not high by any means. And that 60' is BAD, get the 60' down and you should probably be able to hit low 14's. Thats about it.

nah, Im not looking for 13's atm but, I could get close. I wanna throw in a set of 3.73s and a B or E cam just for ****s and giggles, and hope I get a low 14. Mob is right, the 60 is terrible LOL. I knew it as soon as it happened, I was thinking right after I launched, that it was gonna be a 3 second 60' lol. What kind of gains would I pick up with 3.73's and a mild cam on a stock motor. I know I gotta convert to mass air. I have an meter and ECU sitting in my garage, I just need the other stuff.

BTW I am running stock tire pressure on the proxies would lowering them to 25 psi help a bit?

I agree with everyone else, get that 60ft down and you will go low 14s maybe high 13s.

The 3.73s with a sticky tire should easily net you mid 13s. Good luck

What about the cam? How much would a B or an E cam help with a stock motor except maybe an older eddy upper and lower and a 65-70mm tb?

Not much, just a cam really wouldn't benefit your motor with stock heads and intake..

depending on how much money you want to spend will determine what you wanna do but I think the TFS h/c/i kit will be good.

Low 14's if you cut a 2.0 or 2.1 60' time. The launch is critical to a stock fox since it leaves a lot of power to be desired up top to make up for a bad launch.

A set of DR's should stop the wheel spin. Get those 60's below 2.0 and your easily in the 13's!!

I would think you can get a little more out of the car, my old 91 gt has shorty headers, h pipe, flows, pullies and with 2.73's it went 14.1 at 100 mph with a 2.3 60'...I gotta get to the track sometime when I have time this fall...I work in reading and pass maple everyday haha

I don't see a 13 second time in his car w/o a sub 2.0 or better 60' at least. I think you need a little more power to get it there. Low 14's are in the car as it sits though.
