I agree, my wifes I30 barely gets better than my GT. I laugh at people that like to make comments about my gas guzzler, they're actually trying to sympathize with me. I just laugh it off and say at least its better than my truck.

Yea! After losing my beautiful 2002 GT, I just didn't want another GT. It was a Mach 1, Cobra or Lightning on my list. I quickly found my new ride, the only car I looked at, and bought it immediately. It was a local one owner, 19K miles, owned by a absolute Mustang nut like myself. It's absolutely immaculate and already had:

    UPR subframe connectors
    Eibach Pro springs
UPR Pro Street Upper and Lower Control Arms
    FRPP Alum driveshaft
Alum Rear end cover / girdle
Maximum Motorsports C/C Plates, Strut Tower brace and K Member brace
    Redline SS hood struts
Magnaflow catted X and Magnapack catback

These are what I'd call "standard" upgrades that all Mustangs should have, so I was thrilled to find a Mach 1, this clean, this well cared for, with these mods already on - it was a no brainer to sign on the dotted line.

The additional 50 HP is a god send and much needed. The 3:55s certainly help too. The ability to wind up to 6800 RPMs is a plus. I lose traction, with 315s out back, at around 4-4.5K RPMs in 2nd gear (around 40 MPH) - it's a BLAST!

Oh, and the original rims and tires were taking off the car with about 1K miles, so they too are truly like new. I put about 500 miles on em before switching them out myself.

The 99 and 04 have the 35th and 40th aniversary badges on the side.
I love the way people look at it confused...... you just know they are
thinking.... thats not a GT, cause it doesnt say GT on the side.

Did you know that the Mach 1's come with subframe connectors from the factory? So are you sure the subframe connectors are UPR's? I think the stock ones were black. But anyway the Mach 1's are awesome cars.
