I think Ford should've left the taillights alone for 2010, or maybe just add some chrome trim to them, or something. If it was one styling aesthetic that I didn't like about the 2010, it's the taillight design.

And Sa-When, I'm certainly glad my wife did not contract you to snap our wedding photos. :rlaugh:

I dunno, the pre '10 kind of shines when put up against the '10. I almost think the '10 looks too cartoony? The '05 has a more serious and clean look to it actually.

I was thinking the same thing as I was walking around both cars taking the pics. I like my 10 but if I could do it over I would have picked me up a 09 Bullitt.

    Your opinion sucks. :D

But, yeah, the pre-'10 does look a bit less "busy." If the interiors in each of them were the same, I'd gladly scoop up an '09 leftover.

Funny that you "cut" the nose off the pre-'10, despite being at point blank range. :rlaugh:

I dont know what you '09 fans are looking at. To me the '10 looks worlds better. The '09 looks very flat, straight and boring to me whereas the '10 has some curves to the body work which livens things up. I even like the ass on the '10s I think it looks really good.

I guess if Ford was trying to gain new custumers they were successful. I never paid much attention to Mustangs for the last 10+ years since I got rid of my '96 GT but as soon as I saw the '10's I was obsessed with getting one. Oh well they can't please everyone at least they made me happy. :D

I love the 2005-2009 GTs. What killed it for me was the interior. I sat in one at an auto show back in 2005 and was immediately disappointed. I was really hoping to love it, because it may have been my next car.

So, I started reading about how the interior in the 2010s was so much better. It wasn't until I saw a 2005-2009 Roush 427R sitting at the local grocery store that I said, "I love that car. I need to go check out a 2010 Mustang GT." I drove one, and fell in love with it.

Admittedly, the first time I saw photos of the 2010, I hated it. I said, "That thing looks like a melted crayon. It looks like somebody left a 2005-2009 out in the sun for too long."

Well, call me a "flip-flop" like our most popular political figure, but I guess I love Crayola. :nice:

I think both cars look great in their own way. If the interior was the same in both models I certainly wouldn't mind owning either, but having owned an 05 for several years this is light years ahead of the 05 on the inside. Besides, anything you don't like about the outside you can fix with the aftermarket :nice:

your right,I have some plans for mine and in no way was I saying I didn't like the car because I enjoy the heck out of mine its just side by side in person you get to see all the little differances. The interior in the 10s is great and the ride is outstanding[which is what sold my old ass on one].

yea I suck at taking pics I hope I can do better when I make the track video.:D:nice:

Make sure you point the camera at the car :rlaugh:

And I agree with you I love my 2010, but I loved my 05 too. They're both nice cars IMO. And it's easy in retrospect to sit here and complain about the "cheap" interior in the 05, but remember what the 1994 - 2004 interior looked like?? It was a much needed improvement, but not perfect.

Agreed on both points. It is a bit busy, and it does look a bit too "melted", the '05's look more powerful through the more serous look, but the '10 is more "jazzy".

If it weren't for the horrid interior in the pre-'10, I'd also gladly have me a Used one in my Garage RIGHT now, but I just can't do that interior, total deal breaker.

I definitely like the '10's too, even better overall (at least due to the refinements and interior, etc.), and I love curves, etc., but when you start curving things up, you have to do it right.... Not saying Ford didn't do it right necessarily, it's just a bit cartoony to me. The '09's do have a lot of flat and plain surfaces, but that gives it a more monolithic and "powerful" look, especially when done right.

All in all, if I'm gonna get one, I'm waiting for the '10's to come down in price, which obviously goes to show my choice.

Funniest thing is that 95% of the public won't even notice the changes from '09 to '10. It just goes to show that IMO Ford had very little room for error with existing owners/fans and no matter what they did not everyone was gonna be happy. Imagine the reactions if Ford made some "radical" changes. No matter what some may think of the ass on the '10s good or bad the changes aren't exactly huge.
