I'm in so cal, would love to go to a local track and have some fun. I'm a car fan, so if your looking for a ford - chevy competition i'm not the one. But if you want to meet a bunch of guy's who go out to have fun, let me know. Also my friends have all different makes as well, if you want to match up against some other makes.
Im from Hermosa Beach, Live in Palos Verdes, and the company is in Signal Hill. I will never leave So-CAL, there are just to many beautiful girls here! jason
what part of socal r u in? a couple of us get together every friday at burbank...bunch of different cars show up...it doesn't really matter what kinda car you have or anybody for that matter...its all in good fun. let me know bro. haha...amen to that brotha...hook it up! lol sure...i'll give yah all the time u need. that gives me time to finish my bolt-ons and get a tune as well lol
change of subject real quick...my buddy owns a 01 bullit and was thinking of doing exhaust...he went out and bought shorties, a catted xpipe and a flowmaster catback without consulting me. So i told em that the shorties were kinda of a waste of money...so he wants to sell em now. My question here is the following....will that catted xpipe bolt up to his stock manifolds or does he need to get rid of that himself? Sorry if its a noob question but i know nuthing about mustangs and neither does he...i've done all the work on my car myself but havent had a chance to check out his car from down under...any help would be greatly appreciated!
Yea it will bolt up to his stock manifolds. Also, I am not trying to bash, but if you dont have a mustang why join a mustang site? And I will help you test out your bolt ons, as long as trailered cars dont scare you. What track do you normally go to? I will need a "lienent" tech guy so I dont get kicked out...But I am down. I need to break in my new motor anyway.
i'm only on here cuz he is a total noob when it comes to his car and the internet...y anybody would be i dunno but anyway i'm just trying to help em out. As for trailered cars what do u have in there? I mean i would run yah but it'll be kinda pointless...my call out was more towards the street cars but if u wanna run what else do you have? i hardly ever go to the track but when i do i go to irwindale since its the closest
Its just a little 302... 94 Gt all motor. I need to put a cage in it but Irwindale was where I was thinking of going since LACR closed. I really dont know what the car will run, it is an entirely new combo...new motor, heads, intake, Trans, etc. I dont think the convertor is right for the car, but I havent been able to drive it since it is a few hours away and still needs some work.
Nice...do u know wat its putting down to the wheels?? and do u have it on a diet?? My LS1 just started making this weird ticking noise lately and they told me it might be a lifter...car still feels the same but the sound is annoying as hell and its chuging gas like a mofo...I still drive it n it has warranty...have any idea what it could be??
I have no idea what this motor is putting down, but the old motor (smaller combo) made 407 RWHP. As for the ticking noise, I dont know too much about the LS1. Does the ticking sound like it is coming from the top or bottom of the motor? If it is the top end it could be anything from the lifters, pushrods, or rockers. HAce you done any bolt ons like a cam/heads/rockers...It could just be a loose rocker...Or is the LS1 an overhead cam motor? If it is the later, it could be aa follower or valve spring.
I believe there was TSB out for 2001-2003 LS1's for lifter noise. You might check some chevy forums out.
the LS1 is a pushrod motor...no over head cams ...the ticking noise is coming from the top of the motor where the heads/valve covers are at...the motor is completly stock...they have told me its most likely a lifter but they weren't sure...I actually seafoamed it and the noise when away for a day or 2 then came back...the second time I seafoamed it didn't go away...pretty frustrating and annoying!!! lol
Have you ever pulled the valvecovers to check the springs and rockers? It does sound like a lifter, but stranger things have happened.
I think that noise has been there from the beginning, and finally it's just starting to bother you. Or you only heard of the TSB just now. I think they only sent out the notice to owners about 4 or 5 years ago. And if you've moved, they would have no way of getting a hold of you! Come to think of it, it might NOT have been a TSB. But a class action suit owners brought against GM, and they finally admitted to fixing it under a warranty claim. My truck still has the noise, I never took it in. I always thought thats the way it was. It still runs strong. I don't drive it much 2001 p/u with 62,000 miles. I took it to Vegas earlier in the year, cruise control at 65. Got 18 mpg, not bad for a 2500 HD CC 4x4. Good luck on that.
