I have one. The first owner had it installed. It does leak a very little bit (a drop or two gets in when it rains). When it snows, I make sure to have the car under cover .... or covered up. I'm taking it to a sunroof shop to have it repaired, though. It is an electric one ..... made by Hollandia. It's the type that slides straight back into the roof, under the headliner. I have no complaints about it. The seals are just really old & worn out. Someone else on here has one also (I think it's one of Mike's family member's car).
Don't know how much it would be. Here is their website .... http://www.webasto.us/home/en/homepage.html Mine is the Inbuilt 700 Series.
I know, its an old thread, but I also have a sunroof in my car. Mine is a Hollandia that will tilt up in the back for a vent and then slide backwards. Luckily it doesn't leak yet but the motor is due for a rebuild as it quit working last fall.
I wonder if there is a targa kit out there for our cars. Of course you would have to reinforce the car, somehow, but wouldn't it look Trick!!!!, if executed properly!!!
I seem to recall a targa conversion. It did require serious gusseting and a lot of folks didnt like it. I thought it looked pretty sweet. It was ganz $$.
