The Wife has a 1993 LX AOD that we plan to install a set of Ford 3.55 gear into. Will I have to have the AOD shift points changed after gear install? Will the stock shift points work reasonably well with 3.55's?

Nope, no changed necessary. If anything the trans ends up shifting closer to redline where it should. It's much better than shifting at 4500RPM like it usually does with 2.73's.
I have 3.73's and the shift points are perfect with no mods
/\ What he said. It may wind out a little more, which is good, but nothing would need to be changed. What are your plans for the car? Usually people go with a little more gear like 3.73s or 4.10s for AOD cars.
they will be fine...you should like them. I switched from 4:10's to 3:55's because of running out of rpm at the track. Didnt really notice too big of a difference...
I think 3.55's are a great ratio. My brother runs them in his SN and i run the 3.73's in my Fox. There is almost no difference....except those 250 revs on the highway. I wish i would have went with 3.55's. you'll really like em
