I believe they are governed at 152.Fast02 said:I was just wondering becuase my car goes 143mph + and was wondering if someone might have put a chip in it.... Another reason I was thinking that is becuase the pax side kick panel has been removed.
I am absolutely certain of it. I know for a fact that my 99 v-6 had a governor at ~115 MPH because i hit it many times, and there was an article about it in car + driver. If they are gonna put one in the V6 because of safety concerns then i guarantee they put one in the GT. Not to mention the fact that virtually every chip manufacturer (Diablo, Superchips, Autologic...etc) advertises the removal of the speed limiter as one of the modifications that is done to the stock program.RageStangX said:You sure, because im very certain the gt's are NOT goverened what so ever.

Isaac-1 said:The only 99+ GT's that I know of that are governed are the ones that were originaly sold with 16 inch wheels, this was due to the stock 16 inch tire not being Z rated.
