The Shebly is a "halo" car such as the Viper, it's meant more for marketing than sales. However, the guy above is right, if they **** you off, you won't come back. My service dept pissed me off so I yelled at my sales guy. I told him I would never buy from him again unless he got the ass clowns in the back to fix my car! He was cool about it.
I was just baffled. Okay so maybe you don't want to sell me a Shelby, fine I won't buy one from you, but to be rude, I'm never going to buy anything there. I very polite "you know, sir, I just don't foresee these coming down to sticker" would have sufficed. I do plan on showing up when I have my Shelby bought at sticker, showing him the bill of sale, telling him I paid cash, and doing a huge smokey burnout on my way out.
Some people deserve to be punched in the face, unfortunatly these same people will sue you for doing it.
I hope you do it. And when you do have a friend along to video the whole event. Put it on the net and it will be a smash hit.
I bought a new Sport Trac once. I got a great price from the dealer I have used for years, but I had to wait until the truck could be built. I found one I liked on the lot in my hometown where I was never able to buy a vehcile. The sales guy wanted like $6,000 more. I told him no thanks, I have a dealer who is getting me one for $6,000 less. He said, wait. He brought his manager in to explain why I couldn't buy one for the price I was quoting him. They gave me the third degree. They made me feel like a criminal. I told them if that's the way they treat all customers, I don't know how they keep the doors open. My dealer had my Sport Trac in about three weeks (that's when they were brand new on the market, in high demand and low supply.) I certainly drove it around the other dealer's lot, blowing the horn and waving. Some dealers don't deserve to be in business.
