i have an old o/r bassani x . i want to install bassani mid lengths on my car .. is it as simple as cutting and welding my x pipe with supplied pipe attatchments .. i called them but im more confused than ever.. i just want a straight answer.. i shop in my are tried telling me thats not the case . i need to buy thee new x pipe.. think he just wants a sale
What year is your car. With the new midlengths, you bassani says you need a new Xpipe because of mounting locations on certain cars.
I think it depends on what model bassani mid pipe you have...the newer ones are modular and you just take a section out of them to make them fit with the bassani headers...witht he older models they don't have that section to take out...I may be wrong though...
should have clarified a little. i have a 97 cobra , and a one piece x pipe .. after talking to them again i got it straight .. yes i have to cut ut the front 2 pieces of the x and weld new (supplied ) pipes to it. no biggie .... well try to find a muffler shop with stainless wire for their mig welder .... after a good recamondation i hooked up with a guy who i trust can do it well .. i was a welder for 10 years .. so thinking some chump at midas is going to leave goobers all in my pipe was a little disconcerning
