BBK C/C plate install Question

if anyone here has installed BBK's, so you know if I am supposed to remove the entire stock plastic boot and bumpstop, leaving the entire upper strut exposed?

It couldbe the same for any CC plate install, does anyone know if its ok to run the strut without the protective plastic boot over it? anyone?

one more shot, anyone running struts without the plastic boot? or know if thats ok?

That's a good question. I just removed all the original stuff and installed the BBK's. Of course, my car isn't on the road yet. My hood doesn't fit right yet also, I think I need to add the other spacer that came with the kit. I don't think you need the old boot though. I didn't see any way to install it anyway.
