My 03 came with pbr pads.they are costly but ive found them very good.i have tryed motorcraft and wagner .they ok till high speed stops.when street racing they suck.the other problem is the round clips keep breaking loose and caliper has hit rim once.the ring holds everything tight .pbr ring will never spin anybody know of this problem and some pad options?

I don't know anything about the problem you are having because I've never done brakes myself. However, as far as what pads to get I recommend Hawk hps plus. They are squeaky and create a lot of brake dust, but they stop hard consistantly and won't fade or glaze over like the stock ones.

I can't speak for everyone or their app, but i've had Hawk HPS for 3000 mi now with no squeaking and the brake dust comparable to the stocks. As for the "Ring" are you talking about the C clip holding the lower caliper guide pin from sliding outward..? Or the clips holding the pads into their calipers..?

Im definately a NOOB on here, BUT ive never seen or read anything on a problem like that... before I bought my Hawks I researched them up on down on a few forums- never found anything negative about their quality or any defects. A few complaints about squeal or dust, but an overall good review. Like I said, no probs on my end.

The 03 cobra brake set up is different.the brake pads hold the caliper . They have round ring that snaps into caliper.its a floating caliper.not concerned with dust or squeaks im look to find out if another aftermarket made like pbr.

That's because you're not using hp plus. Trust me. They squeak and create more brake dust unlike the hps. But they also brake better than them. Just read any reviews.

When I had my Cobra, I had the HPS with zero issues. Definitely recommend them.
