I dont get it wont it be like mocking up a wheel with a flat?? how does it support the weight of the vehicle?

It doesn't support any weight. You just use it to check for fender clearances and such. Probably just take the springs outta the front..keep the rear on stands. That way you can move the front suspension throughout its entire course. I like it.

You could also put a jack under the lower control arm.
