alright i got an 86 notch lx. we pulled the 4 banger out of it last saturday and we're in the process of getting a mild 302 in it.E-303 cam, worked over stock heads, edelbrock performer intake and an edelbrock carb. i'm not sure what size carb it is, the whole motor was giving to us from my girlfriend's uncle.
my question is: what kind of trans came with that model 4 banger.?i was told by the guy that we bought the car from that it was a C4 but i cant find anything stating that they put c4 in anything past an 81 model.it is a 3 speed auto no overdrive.if it is a c4 then we were planning on getting it built and getting a new torque converter, flexplate, and bellhousing for the 302(it didnt look like the 4 banger bellhousing would fit but i havent seperated the motor from the trans yet.
if it isnt a c4 then i'm all up for suggestions.
p.s. i'm a local of the 94-95 forums but i thought some of you may have runned into something like this before. and i may hang here alittle during the build of this car.
