Hey Guys,

I have a plain stock 302 bored .030. I am planning on replacing the cam, but want to retain driveability. I would love a little lope, but don't want to sacrifice low end power for it. Any suggestions on cam selection for me. The heads, exhaust, etc. are all stock.

Thanks.

Don't replace the cam if everything else is stock. I wouldn't even mess with it until you do something about the stock heads. Do all the bolt-ons first...then the heads...then the cam.
The stock roller cam is really a pretty good match for the other stock components. You might gain some lope, but I'd bet you wouldn't gain much if any power if you did the cam now. Talk to Ed Curtis and see what he says...owner/operator of www.flowtechinduction.com
